Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts are delightfully crunchy, addictive, and made in a pinch. They are dressed with balsamic and seasoned with garlic powder, and with a crispy outer shell and slightly caramelized interior, this is my favorite way to cook Brussels sprouts! Serve as a side dish or appetizer.

Brussle Sprouts Recipe (Air Fryer)

Using the air fryer is a faster way to make Brussels sprouts, and as a classically-trained chef, I am always looking for shortcuts in my meal planning—particularly around the holidays!

I like to prepare Brussels sprouts in the air fryer when the oven is already occupied with the main course or other sides. And truth be told, after years of preparing Brussels sprouts, I can assure you, Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts simply taste better than being roasted in the oven. My personal secret is to use your hands to coat the sprouts in olive oil. Not only will this prevent scorching, but it also ensures they are evenly seasoned.

I love the splash of balsamic vinegar at the end, but you can leave it out if you want to. And if you happen to have a jar of bacon fat in your fridge, substitute that for the olive oil for even more flavor and a hint of smokiness.

Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts Recipe Tips

  • Yield: This recipe will make 4 servings, ½ cup per person.
  • Make ahead: This recipe is best made right before serving.
  • Roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon: Smoky bacon and caramelized onions help this sheet pan vegetable recipe shine.
  • Steamed Brussels sprouts: A quick and easy side dish or meal prep option. Or, steam sprouts as a culinary technique to prepare them for sautéing, stir-frying, or roasting with all your favorite flavors.
  • Harvest Roasted Vegetables: This colorful side dish has butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, cranberries, bacon, and walnuts, and it’s perfect for fall and the holiday season.

How to Store

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Freezer: The Brussels sprouts can get mushy when thawed, so I don’t recommend freezing them.
